Mr. Elliott shared with PIE and PTA that the draft facility usage committee report discusses eliminating all temps at Devinny (and across the district). As of December 4, 2009, the current proposal options could still shift Devinny's 6th grade to Dunstan (not the whole catchment area, just Devinny). However, the option to move the GT center programs to another school, possibly a stand alone GT-only school pulling kids from Devinny and Kyffin, has been moved to the "no longer being considered" options list.As of January 14, 2010, the Board of Education voted to close Russell Elementary. Devinny 6th grade students will not be moved to Dunstan. FIRST ROUND CHOICE ENROLLMENT HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH MARCH 1, 2010, to account for possible closures or redistributions.
